Instructions to Reset WiFi Router
Given below are the instructions that will help you reset your WiFi router back to factory default values:
Step 1: Ensuring a steady power supply to your WiFi router, locate the reset button on it.
The reset button can be found either on the back or bottom panel of your WiFi router.
Step 2: Once you have found the WiFi router’s reset hole, press it using a paper clip.
You must not press the router reset button using any pointed object.
Step 3: Upon pressing the router’s reset button, you must hold it for 10 seconds and thereafter, release it.
In this manner, you can reset your WiFi router right from the comfort of your home.
Steps to Set Up Netgear Router

There are two ways through which you can set up your WiFi router:
First, is using the manual method
Second, is using the WPS method

Router Setup Manually
The instructions to set up the WiFi router using manual method are highlighted below:
Step 1: Plug in your WiFi router first. Ensure that the power socket you have chosen for your router is in working condition and supplying steady electricity (power supply).
For the well-working of your router, consider plugging in your WiFi router near to your internet modem.
Step 2: Turn on your WiFi router and then use an Ethernet cable for connecting it with your internet modem.
Step 3: Power on your computer or laptop and connect it to your WiFi router wirelessly. For this, hit the WiFi icon of your device (computer or laptop). Once you have clicked the icon, you will see the list of available and active networks displayed right away. From the list, you can find your router’s default SSID, right? Using the WiFi password, get connected to the router wirelessly.
On the off chance, you don’t want to connect your computer or laptop to router using a wireless source, get your devices connected using a wired source. How? Put your hands on a working Ethernet cable. Once you have it, connect it’s (the cable) one end into your WiFi router and other end into your client device (computer or laptop).
Step 4: Open a web browser of your choice.
Make sure that the web browser shouldn’t be outdated.
Step 5: In the browser address bar, either type 192.168.1.250 or 192.168.1.1 IP and press the Enter key.
The IPs mentioned in this article are used for logging in to your WiFi router. And, once you are logged in successfully, you can do anything to your router, like set it up, update its firmware, etc. by simply implementing the on-screen instructions.
Step 6: You will be logged in successfully. Upon logging in to router, you will have to enter the default admin credentials of your WiFi router in the required fields, and then click Log In.
And, there you are! The router setup page displays! Follow the on-screen instructions and get your router configured in minutes.
Router Setup via WPS Procedure
If you don’t want to use the manual method to perform the router setup process, go with the WPS process right away.
Step 1: Turn on your WiFi router near to your internet modem.
Step 2: Press the WPS button on your modem.
Step 3: Within a minute, press the WPS button on your WiFi router.
In this way, you can perform the router setup process using the easiest method i.e. the WPS method.
